Weld-On C-65 ECO MAX is a clear solvent cleaner used prior to bonding PVC pipes. It removes grease, oil, dirt, and the factory-applied surface layer from the pipe and fitting, ensuring the adhesive bonds to a clean surface for a strong joint.
Without this step, the adhesive bonds only to surface dirt; the joint may look neat but will eventually begin to leak.
The cleaner has a water-like consistency and evaporates quickly, allowing bonding to proceed almost immediately. ECO MAX features the latest ultra-low VOC formula with a milder odor.
Suitable for PVC, CPVC, ABS, and polystyrene pipes and fittings of all diameters and wall thicknesses. It can also be used to clean brushes.
APPLICATION:
Cut the pipe squarely, remove burrs, and check the fit of the fitting. Apply using a brush, not a rag. Scrub the fitting and the pipe end for 5–15 seconds until the surface remains wet. Allow to dry before applying adhesive.
IMPORTANT:
This is a cleaner, not a primer or adhesive. It is used in conjunction with Weld-On adhesives, such as 748ECO Pool Fast.
Highly flammable. Keep tightly sealed, store between 5°C and 44°C, and keep away from flames and sparks. Work in a ventilated area; wear gloves and safety glasses.
Do not store or use near dry granular calcium hypochlorite.
