Gecko in.grid allows the spa water to be heated by an external heat source—such as a heat pump, the home's central heating system, or a gas heater—and controlled directly from the spa's control panel. The spa controller regulates the temperature, while in.grid switches the external source on and off as needed.

The module also functions as a connection hub: up to four single-button switches can be connected to it to control spa accessories, and a dedicated CO port allows for the daisy-chaining of additional Gecko modules.
